Aloha everyone and welcome to UkulelePro.
My name is Chris G. and I am the owner of UkulelePro.com. I live in Hawaii which is known internationally as the ukulele capital of the world. The ukulele has been part of my life since I was in the fourth grade. Up until the late 1990s, all public educated fourth graders were required to learn how to play a few songs on the ukulele. This was mainly due to the Hawaiian holiday, May Day. That is where I was first introduced to the ukulele. Since then I have played the ukulele on and off. In my experiences I find the ukulele to be a very portable instrument due to its small size. And when you whip it out at a party it attracts the ladies.
I hope you pick up an ukulele, start playing, and experience the same enjoyment I get out of playing an ukulele.
